Today's feature: LSD

Right guys. Today's entry shall give you a bit of information about LSD, or "d-lysergic acid diethylamide".

This is how I (Lucy/Lucille) took it the first time. It was a handful of people, in a little room and we read up on it first, so we wouldn't do some stupid shit like overdose.

(in the case of LSD, there havn't been any overdoses per say yet apparently. Not ones leading to death anyway. This doesn't mean that it can't lead to death e.g. if you trip hard and think you can fly, and go jumping off a roof, or that it sends you off to Lala-land with a one-way ticket only. So just think about the dosage before hand.)

Our main access point for information is Erowid. It's a fab site with lots of information!

Here's a graph from the site, showing the effect vs. hours.

From our experience -and this is different for everyone!- you start coming up after around 40 minutes.

There might be light queasy feelings (light anxiety and nausea) during this time period, which can be mainly linked back to a bit of anticipation and nervousness.

However, just keep on reminding yourself that it'll be just fine, and after around 10 hours you can start thinking normally again. If you choose night time to do this, even better because there will be less people around to notice you, so you really don't need to worry so much.

Keep in a positive mindset and do anything that you believe will help ease the nerves so that you can smoothly slip into your trip.

Here's just a list of possible effects. I have to say, some of the things listed on the Negative side sound a lot worse than they are. Jaw tension? Come on, you also get that from many other things.

The anxiety and nausea, which I mentioned above, can be reduced if the correct measures are taken.

-And the insomnia, that ain't insomnia. It's just that you'll be up for the next 12 hours. You might also encounter some problems sleeping the next night if you're still too awake, but the night after that it'll be all good again.

Some things that can be done to prevent being nervous and getting anxious or nauseous;

-Inform yourself about it before you take it.
-Take it with a handful of people you feel very comfortable with. (possibly with past experience)
-Create a comfortable, chilled our environment where you can trip.
-Clean your room a bit, in case you want to retreat for a few hours.
-Decide on a place with your friends where you can go if you want to go outside.

And a rather big tip:

-Have someone there who's sober (and preferably has taken it in the past, therefore has some experience) who will watch after you guys. For either just the first few hours, or the whole time.

About going outside; try and prepare before hand. This means, think about what you can and can't take with you before you drop anything, so you don't end up taking shit with you that you do NOT want to be found with.

A friend of mine took her "bag" with her, when we went for a walk the other time. Her "bag" meaning that it was filled with a little plastic bag full of more tabs, cash (from selling), aprox. an ounce of weed and hash-oil. This happened to be the one time the Police got involved.

Let's just say it's rather hard to prevent to Police from finding the thing they're looking for (said bag) whilst you're tripping balls, but still have to look like you're cooperating with the law. We managed to do it, but it's very, very hard.
